DESCRIPTION

The Rainbow Mountain and Red Valley ATV full route tour begins with a pick-up between 03:30 and 04:00 a.m. from your hotel or Airbnb in Cusco. After a punctual and comfortable departure, we undertake a journey towards the Qempo Tourist Restaurant, where you will enjoy a varied buffet breakfast, perfect for starting the experience with energy and acclimating before the adventure.

Then we continue towards the Japura sector, a strategic point where you will receive a complete safety briefing and all the necessary instructions to handle the ATV. From this point, the Rainbow Mountain and Red Valley ATV full route truly begins, advancing through high Andean routes surrounded by mountains, canyons, local fauna, and unique landscapes that characterize this area of Peru.

The ATV journey takes us to Lauramani, direct access to the imposing Red Valley, one of the most surprising natural settings in the region. From this point, we perform a trek of approximately 50 minutes passing through trails tinged with reddish tones, until reaching the Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca) viewpoint, a privileged place that offers wide, spectacular views with fewer tourists.

After exploring Vinicunca and capturing unforgettable panoramic photographs, we return along the same route towards Japura.   • RECOMENDACIONES PARA EL TOUR
  • Llevar ropa cómoda y ligera, pero con una casaca cortavientos para el trayecto en cuatrimoto.
  • Usar zapatillas cómodas o zapatos deportivos; no es necesaria bota de montaña pero el terreno es de trocha.
  • Aplicarse bloqueador solar y usar lentes de sol; la radiación solar es fuerte incluso en días nublados.
  • Llevar una cámara o celular con batería cargada para capturar las esculturas monumentales.
  • Traer efectivo en soles para pagar la entrada (Extranjeros S/ 20.00 | Nacionales S/ 15.00) y gastos personales.
  • Llevar una botella de agua personal para mantenerse hidratado durante la actividad.
  • Usar gorra o sombrero para protegerse del sol durante el tiempo libre en el santuario.
  • Si el tour se realiza por la tarde, llevar ropa un poco más abrigadora para el retorno.
  • Traer poncho de lluvia en temporada de lluvias (noviembre a marzo).

  • The maximum altitude is 5,000 m.a.s.l. (16,404 ft); it is recommended to spend at least 2 days in Cusco to acclimate before the tour
  • It is mandatory to present an original identity document (passport for foreigners, DNI for nationals)
  • Weather conditions can vary drastically; the tour may be postponed or canceled due to extreme bad weather
  • It is not recommended for people with heart or respiratory problems or pregnant women
  • The minimum age to drive an ATV is 18 years; minors can go as passengers accompanied by an adult
  • Each ATV can be shared by 2 people (driver and passenger)
  • It is necessary to follow all safety instructions provided by the guide before starting the route
  • Alcohol consumption is prohibited throughout the tour
  • Basic physical condition is required; the final walk is only 5 minutes thanks to the short route
  • Optional services (horse, motorcycle) are not necessary on this route but are subject to local availability
