DETAILED ITINERARY

1. Day 1: Rainbow Mountain → Ausangate Adventure
   • Hotel pick-up (Cusco)

     4:00-4:30 a.m. South Valley

     Our team will pick you up from your accommodation in Cusco in the early hours, ensuring punctuality and comfort from the start. The transfer is in modern, safe vehicles, allowing you to rest or admire the Andean sunrise. This first journey is key for acclimatization and to immerse yourself in the adventure atmosphere, while the guide introduces you to the region’s history and culture.

   • Buffet breakfast in Cusipata Andean Energy

     After a journey of approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, we arrive at Cusipata, where a buffet breakfast with fresh, local products awaits. This breakfast is essential to recharge before the hike, and includes traditional options such as quinoa, artisanal bread, local fruits, and hot drinks. You’ll also have the chance to interact with locals and learn more about Andean cuisine.

   • Transfer to Vinicunca (hike base)

     We continue the trip in private transport to the starting point of the hike, passing through rural landscapes and high Andean communities. During the journey, the guide will share relevant information about the geography, local flora and fauna, and ancestral customs. This transfer is a great opportunity to mentally prepare and resolve any doubts before the hike.

   • Hike to Rainbow Mountain Approx. 1h30m

     We begin the ascent to Vinicunca, the famous Rainbow Mountain. The trail, of moderate difficulty, crosses beautiful natural landscapes, with panoramic views of the Andes, herds of alpacas and llamas, and typical high-altitude flora. The guide will accompany you at all times, providing support and tips for a safe and pleasant hike, as well as sharing facts about the mountain’s geological formation and its importance to local communities.

   • Arrival and guided visit Vinicunca

     Upon reaching the summit of Vinicunca, the guide will give a detailed explanation about the geological origin of the colors, mineral composition, and Andean worldview related to the mountain. You’ll have free time to take photos, enjoy the fresh air, and contemplate the impressive Andean landscape, with the chance to spot highland birds and other unique elements of the area.

   • Buffet lunch and transfer to Pacchanta Local cuisine

     After descending the mountain, we return to Cusipata for a varied buffet lunch with typical regional dishes prepared by local cooks. This is a great time to share experiences with the group and recharge. Then, we head to the community of Pacchanta, at the foot of Ausangate, where you can observe rural Andean life and prepare for an authentic community experience.

   • Hot springs and dinner (optional) Relaxation

     In Pacchanta, you’ll have the chance to soak in natural hot springs, surrounded by snowy mountains and a peaceful environment. The waters have mineral properties beneficial for health and are ideal for relaxing muscles after the hike. We end the day with a traditional dinner prepared by local families, where you can taste typical dishes and share stories with the hosts, enjoying a unique cultural experience before resting in community lodging.

2. Day 2: Ausangate 7 Lakes Circuit Nature
   • Traditional breakfast in Pacchanta Local products

     We start the day with a nutritious breakfast, prepared with fresh, organic ingredients from the area, such as artisanal bread, cheese, Andean herbal teas, and local fruits. This breakfast not only gives you the energy needed for the hike, but also lets you experience the community’s rich cuisine and hospitality.

   • Hike to the 7 Lakes Approx. 2h

     We begin the trek to the 7 lakes circuit, a high mountain route where you can admire the majesty of Ausangate and its surroundings. The trail passes through dreamlike landscapes, with views of glaciers, rock formations, and unique biodiversity. The guide will share stories, legends, and knowledge about the spiritual and ecological importance of each lake for local communities.

   • Tour of the lakes Turquoise, emerald, and blue

     We visit lakes with intense colors and crystal-clear waters, each with its own story and meaning. The guide will explain the formation of these bodies of water, their importance for the ecosystem, and the ancestral beliefs associated with them.    • Hot springs option Final relaxation

     Before leaving, you can choose to soak again in the hot springs, enjoying a relaxing bath with views of the snow-capped mountains. This revitalizing experience is the perfect end to your adventure, letting you relax body and mind before returning.

   • Return to Cusco Approx. 18:00

     We finish the experience with the transfer back to Cusco, in a comfortable and safe journey. During the trip, you can reflect on everything you’ve experienced, share anecdotes with your companions, and enjoy the last Andean landscapes. You’ll arrive in the city around 6:00 p.m., taking with you unforgettable memories of the Peruvian Andes and its people.
