Archaeological sites Tipon Tipón is an archaeological group that is located about 10 km from the city of Cusco. This was a fundamental agricultural production center in Inca times. Which is why there are 12 terraces of quite fertile land that, until today, are cultivated. It is also the first Inca site dedicated to the cult of water; For this reason, in Tipón, terraces, platforms, stone and adobe rooms, and majestically worked water conduits were built, thus considered the “Wonder of Hydraulic Engineering”. The most outstanding attractions are the Intihuatana, the wall that protected the site, the Cruzmoqo viewpoint, and its royal enclosures. In this archaeological site we can observe several buildings of adobe, stone and mud, such as Choquepujio, where there are buildings of 2 or 3 floors. Also, Urpicancha, which comes from the Quechua “urpi” bird and “cancha” house, which would mean “house of birds”; It was one of the most important and excellently assembled structures. Andahuaylillas Andahuaylillas is located 40 km southeast of the city of Cusco, it is a very cozy town, with a warm climate as it is surrounded by mountains and on the banks of the Vilcanota River.
