The journey culminates at the Checoq archaeological center, a natural viewpoint from which you can appreciate the Chicón and Verónica snow-capped mountains. Throughout the tour, we will make several strategic stops to enjoy the landscapes, breathe fresh air, and capture unforgettable moments.

This ATV tour is perfect for those who wish to escape traditional routes and live an authentic adventure in the heart of the Sacred Valley of the Incas.

TOUR HIGHLIGHTS

Huaypo Lake

This beautiful natural lagoon is located between the towns of Chinchero and Maras, and is considered one of the most picturesque water mirrors in the Sacred Valley. From your ATV, you can admire how the snow-capped mountains reflect in its calm waters, surrounded by fields and open sky. It is an ideal stop to breathe fresh air, take spectacular photographs, and enjoy the silence of the Andes. Here, you will also have time to learn briefly about the importance of lagoons in the Andean worldview.

Tiobamba and its Colonial Church

Tiobamba is a small traditional village located near Maras. Its colonial church, built between the 16th and 17th centuries, stands out for its simplicity and beauty amidst the Andean landscape. The temple, surrounded by nature and peasant houses, represents a fusion between Andean spirituality and the legacy of the Viceroyalty. Visiting Tiobamba will allow you to get to know a little-known part of the Sacred Valley, where ancestral customs and a deep respect for the sacred are still preserved.

Checoq Archaeological Center

Checoq is a less visited Inca archaeological center, located in an elevated area with spectacular views. There you will find agricultural terraces, stone storehouses, and remains of ancient constructions, which show the organization and agricultural knowledge of the Incas. From its natural viewpoints, on clear days, you can contemplate the Verónica and Chicón snow-capped mountains, and understand how the Incas integrated the landscape into their urban and spiritual planning. The guide will explain its history, uses, and functions within the Sacred Valley.

Scenic ATV Route

Throughout the tour, you will live an adventure on ATVs along rural paths, crossing plains, hills, and small communities. This unique experience connects you with the rural life of Cusco and allows you to explore landscapes away from traditional routes. While driving, you will see farmers working the land, shepherds guiding alpacas, and fields cultivated with potatoes, quinoa, and corn. The combination of adrenaline, nature, and culture makes this route a different way to discover the heart of the Sacred Valley.
