DESCRIPTION
Discover the stunning natural beauty of the Ausangate glaciers on this exciting quad bike adventure—perfect for those seeking thrill and unforgettable Andean landscapes. We begin the experience at 4:00 a.m. with hotel pickup in Cusco. Then, we head to Cusipata, where a traditional Andean buffet breakfast will give us the energy needed for the day ahead.
After breakfast, we continue by vehicle to Ichupata. There, following a brief safety briefing, we gear up and begin our quad bike journey. Along the way, we’ll witness the breathtaking scenery dominated by Ausangate Mountain and its shining glaciers. The route passes scenic lagoons such as Pucacocha, Laguna Turquesa, and the striking Qorisoncco Lagoon, known for its unique three colors—all set against the grandeur of the Andes.
Throughout the ride, we’ll make strategic stops to admire the views and hear from the guide about the geological and spiritual significance of Ausangate and its glaciers in Andean culture. You’ll also have free time to take photos, record videos, or simply breathe in the pure mountain air.
Finally, we return by quad bike to our starting point and head back to Cusipata for a delicious Andean buffet lunch. Afterwards, we make our way back to Cusco, concluding a truly unforgettable day among mountains, lagoons, and glaciers.

Pick up from the hotel in Cusco
We start the day with pick-up from your accommodation, heading south of Cusco, towards the town of Cusipata.

Buffet breakfast in Cusipata
Upon arrival in Cusipata, we will enjoy an Andean buffet breakfast, ideal for starting the adventure with energy.

Arrival at the ATV base
After breakfast, we continue by transport to our base of operations, where you will receive a safety talk and a driving practice (approximately 15 minutes) to familiarize yourself with the ATV.

Start of the ATV tour
We begin the route on marked paths, crossing Andean valleys and rivers. The tour lasts approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes.

Hike towards Ausangate mountain
We leave the ATVs and take a 40 to 50-minute hike towards Ausangate mountain, where we can appreciate the Qorisonco lagoon, with its turquoise waters, and the Pucacocha lagoon, along with other smaller lagoons. From a natural viewpoint, we enjoy spectacular views of the landscape and surrounding lagoons.
