DESCRIPTION

The Rainbow Mountain and Red Valley ATV full route tour begins with a pick-up between 03:30 and 04:00 a.m. from your hotel or Airbnb in Cusco. After a punctual and comfortable departure, we undertake a journey towards the Qempo Tourist Restaurant, where you will enjoy a varied buffet breakfast, perfect for starting the experience with energy and acclimating before the adventure.

Then we continue towards the Japura sector, a strategic point where you will receive a complete safety briefing and all the necessary instructions to handle the ATV. From this point, the Rainbow Mountain and Red Valley ATV full route truly begins, advancing through high Andean routes surrounded by mountains, canyons, local fauna, and unique landscapes that characterize this area of Peru.

The ATV journey takes us to Lauramani, direct access to the imposing Red Valley, one of the most surprising natural settings in the region. From this point, we perform a trek of approximately 50 minutes passing through trails tinged with reddish tones, until reaching the Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca) viewpoint, a privileged place that offers wide, spectacular views with fewer tourists.

After exploring Vinicunca and capturing unforgettable panoramic photographs, we return along the same route towards Japura. Next, we move again to the Qempo Tourist Restaurant to enjoy a buffet lunch, an essential part of the Rainbow Mountain and Red Valley ATV full route experience, ideal for relaxing and recovering energy.

Finally, we undertake the return journey towards the city of Cusco, where the service concludes at Plaza Regocijo, thus closing an adventure that combines nature, adrenaline, and unforgettable landscapes.

  • Use comfortable or trekking shoes; although the walk is short (5 min), the terrain is irregular

  • Stay hydrated during the journey, carry a personal water bottle
  • Bring light snacks such as nuts or chocolates to maintain energy
  • Use a hat or cap and sunglasses with UV protection
  • Carry a camera or cell phone with enough charge (cold drains batteries fast)
  • Bring cash in soles for entrance fees (S/ 15 nationals / S/ 25 foreigners) and personal expenses
  • Use clothing in layers (onion system) to adapt to temperature changes during the day

  • It is mandatory to present an original identity document (passport for foreigners, DNI for nationals)
  • Weather conditions can vary drastically; the tour may be postponed or canceled due to extreme bad weather
  • It is not recommended for people with heart or respiratory problems or pregnant women
  • The minimum age to drive an ATV is 18 years; minors can go as passengers accompanied by an adult
  • Each ATV can be shared by 2 people (driver and passenger)
  • It is necessary to follow all safety instructions provided by the guide before starting the route
  • Alcohol consumption is prohibited throughout the tour
