Cultural Heritage The Inti Punku Tour is an alternative travel option in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, in the heights of Ollantaytambo, which has an impressive view of the Veronica (Wakaywillque) snow-capped mountain as well as the valley itself. Inti Punku translates to “Sun Gate”. The Andean people give a very important role to buildings like this because they saw the stellar and cosmic movements based on knowledge and science, due to the construction having a perfect alignment with the stars, which is located in front of the Veronica snow-capped mountain. Likewise, on this hike that is not very traditional in Cusco, you will enjoy an incredible environment in an unusual landscape in the heights of Ollantaytambo. On this hike, we will see an incredible landscape, full of Andean crops, etc. As we ascend, we will see the Sacred Valley with an impressive view. Similarly, we will pass through “Cachicata,” where the most relevant Inca Quarry of Ollantaytambo is located, which supplied blocks of Red Granite for the construction of temples and palaces. There are still large stone lintels that were ready to be moved to Ollantaytambo. Of course, this activity is for adventure lovers.

Inti Punku Tour Program

Unique Experience We start at 05:30 in the morning, picking you up from your accommodation heading to the Sacred Valley of the Incas in our tourist transport.
